After 6 years I finally have moved on to a better desktop. The old AMD Opteron based pc is still a magnificent machine and has the power to handle any game and application thanks to the 8800gt in it but then I had to move on.

I am off to review the Motherboard now!
Update on the situation:
The OCZ ddr3 1600Mhz ram was faulty and has been replaced with the G-skill Rip jaws 1600Mhz ram(5500rs shipped from Prime Abgb)
I bought a Belkin Router N 150 from Ebay to replace my dead D-link 3 year old router. It cost me 1450rs.
The Artic Cooling MX-2 to cool my pc cost me 345rs.
The PC case to house my new system--Gigabyte Luxo X142. It cost me 2100rs(1550+550-shipping) from Lynx-India. Total VFM case, well built without stupid LEDs and transparent side panels. Minus the lousy mesh design! Understated and elegant-that's how I like cabinets! It has tonnes of space to swallow a ATI HD 5870 crossfire setup.
The Ati HD 4870 was DOA as well - so I replaced it temporarily with my 8800GT. The 8800GT will soon be replaced by a real stunner of a gpu that will truly make this system kickass! Keep watching this space!
ITS HERE!!!!!!!!!!! DRUM ROLL!!!!!!!
THE FINAL PIECE OF THE JIGSAW PUZZLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Gigabyte made a real mess with the SATA port placement in this board. I used it for less than 48 hours and its given me 48000 headaches! I shall upgrade to a better board with a better sata port placement soon!!!
