Guys, I am on MTNL and want a wifi router. Following are the requirements.

I have 3 systems at home. So heavy data transfer in between.. therefore need ..

required

1 gigabyte LAN

Wireless N

ADSL 2+ MTNL compatible

desirable

USB storage Link

torrent capability

built in HDD space

thats it for now..

budget around 4-5k

I would strongly recommend ASUS RT N16. I have one and using it exactly for the kind of requirements you are looking for. I am using it with Tomota USB mod. I bought it for 7.7k though. It does not have built in HDD but has 2 USB ports and you can attach USB hub and expand the USB ports.

Well AFAIK currently Wireless N Routers are the fastest in the market.

so,you don't need to spend 10k on a Router.

if you could furnish more details like your intended use & your requirements then we all can help you out in a better way.. :)

is there any comparison available or any link where i can select the features i want and it shows me the routers having those features..

Well, looking at the performance results of the review (link posted above) ,i would go for Linksys WRT610N but as you have said that you don't want any Belkin or Cisco router then ASUS RT-N13U is your best bet.

is the ASUS RT-N13U a adsl2 modem+ router ? ............... i have an mtnl connection so need an adsl2 modem+ router.

i am using the netgear wndr3700. its a brilliant router with almost all features you could think of. it cost me 7600 locally.

Although its not adsl compatible, i am sure netgear has a similar version with adsl modem.
