Just observed, the number of replies displayed is one less than the actual number of replies.

your observation is perfect....
But,
the reason behind this is,
the first post isnt counted as a reply.
It is taken to be a question.
Thus, as you will observe again, even though this thread has 2 posts, it has only one reply.

Hope this solves ur query;)
