Sony 2011 Xperia Phones Will Not Get Android 4.1 Jelly Bean

Sony has announced today on its Facebook page that Xperia phones released in 2011 will not be getting update to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean .

Although , Sony had announced that all its phones announced in 2011 will be getting Android ICS , but now it has announced that they wont get the latest version 4.1 Jelly Bean .

While answering to queries on its FB page , Sony's UK product manager John Cooper replied , "Unfortunately Xperia Arc S will not be getting the Jelly Bean updated (sic) but we're always developing new phones to make sure they have the latest updates." .

Later in the thread he added: "Unfortunately the Xperia Mini Pro will not be getting Jelly Bean :( Are you interested in any of the current Xperia range?"

I hope android does not evolve so fast that any new phone in market is immediately obsolete. Sick of companies to do this to perfectly capable phones. All this for sales and nothing else IMO. And please don't bring modded ROMs into picture.
