Sony announced yesterday their Xperia Tablet Z 10.1" tablet, and this tablet is most impressive. After the official announcement, we got full details on it's features and we must say, we are might impressed. A 10.1" tablet with a weight of less than 500 grams is unheard of, and that too with a 6.9 mm thin shell. You must be thinking that this must be a frail tablet that might break like a Marie biscuit, but it won't! The tablet is both water and dust resistant at the same time.

The Sony Xperia Tablet Z bears a lot in common with their Xperia Z. One is the glass body (6 times tougher than Gorilla Glass) and second is indistinguishably the design.
Sony Xperia Tablet Z Specifications
Packing a 10.1" tablet into a 6.9 mm thin envelope with a 6000 mAh battery as well as a light 495 grams weight is no small feat, but Sony has achieved it. The tablet comes with Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean, which is fairly decent. An 8 MP camera at the back gives it smartphone like imaging capabilities. There's plenty of storage around (32 GB + up to 64 GB) and the brilliant WUXGA high resolution display will go a long way to improving user experience (in addition to the Bravia Engine 2 running atop it).
There is no price tag yet on this dust proof and water proof tablet as of now.
