Sony Announces Xperia T , Xperia V And Xperia J Smartphones

Sony has announced three new members of its Xperia family - Xperia T , V and J today at IFA .

Xperia T
This is the new Sony Xperia global flagship smartphone which replaces Sony Xperia S . It has 4.6 inch HD Reality Display , 13 MP camera with 1080P video , NFC . However, Sony still doesn't have a quad-core processor in its flagship device and the Xperia T has 1.5GHz Qualcomm MSM8960 Snapdragon S4 processor . The phone is also PlayStation Mobile certified . It will run Android 4.0 ICS and 4.1 Jelly Bean update will be released shortly after .

Xperia V
The Xperia V has 4.3 inch HD display and is water-resistant and dust-proof with IP57 rating like the Acro S . It also has 13MP camera , 1.5GHz processor , ICS , NFC and PlayStation Mobile certification . It will be shipped with Android 4.0 ICS and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update will shortly follow .

Xperia J
The Xperia J will be the more affordable smartphone . It will pack a 1GHz single core chip , 4 inch display with 854x480 resolution , 5MP camera , 4GB expandable storage and 1750mAh battery . It will run Android 4.0 ICS .

The phones will be released at sometime in Q4 2012 , pricing is not yet announced .

Too many models sony. I am confused as hell.

Earlier S was the flagship, now it is T.
Bu U comes after T, so it should be the flagship. And V comes after U.

And what would happen in a year from now when Android Jalebi 5.0 comes out?

Would they name their flagship U?

Buying an xperia U makes sense them. Imagine the look on somebody's face when this happens.

Guy 1: i just bought an xperia U. Sony's flagshid phone.

Guy 2: i am using it since last year.

Guy 1: :O

^^ they will be using double alphabets.. viz. Xperia TT is the successor for Xperia T n so on :P
 
Its faster than the quads man!
No wonder Sony didn't go for a Tegra 3 quad core.

What saddens me is that even the Xperia Tipo will launch with ICS, heck the 600 MHz Desire C launched with ICS but Xperia U, Sola, Go, Acro S havent got ICS. The Xperia 2011 phones are getting their 2nd ICS update itself.

Its just sad.
