Sony have, just a few hours back announced a new ICS tablet known as Xperia Tablet S which is being powered by the nVidia Tegra 3. The new tablet was revealed in Berlin at the IFA event. The tablet will be made available in three storage options, 16 GB, 32 GB and 64 GB.
Phil Lubell, the vice president of networked technologies and services at Sony Electronics said "Tablets are no longer just a personal device, but are being shared by family members, and we heard from consumers that they wanted to have parental controls. It was important for us to provide parents with a solution for controlling what content their children could access from the tablet."
The Xperia Tablet S will launch September 7 in three different storage configurations and different pricings - 16GB ($399), 32GB ($499), and 64GB ($599). The Indian launch and pricing is still to be revealed.
