Sony Bravia EX600 & EX700 series launched!

Edge-lit LED TVs akin to Samsung 7 series.

They launched them a couple of weeks back and had a demo of both of them on 40inchers yesterday at a Sony Center. Looked pretty decent TBH. The panels are thinner than the usual CCFL lit LCDs.

Expensive just like the 7 series offering from Samsung.

Hey I got the Ex700 40' been using it for more than 2 weeks and its awesome...Avatar looked wonderful on it.

will post pics soon on show-off section...waiting for my digicam to be back from a friends trip.

^I was told ~85k for the 40EX600, ex-Sony Center prices. So Croma's pricing should be about 2~3k lesser than Sony Center's pricing I suppose.

How's the tv for dark/low light scenes?? Sammy leds too looked great but fell apart when it came to dark scenes.

I would not say it as great...but its good after calibration.
