Sony DVD Players

Just wanted to know if they last for a decent 3-4 years.

I had a pioneer which lasted 6-7 yrs. Then an LG which lasted barely 1.5 yrs. (Repair guy says lens needs to be replaced .. cost 1000 incl his service fee)

So I am thinking I rather invest 3400 to buy a Sony Dvd/DivX player.

Will do so if i receive good feedback abt the life of sony players.
 
Do not go for Sony. Stick with Pioneer. My Pioneer also has lasted almost 7 years and it is still going strong.

Don't get me wrong Sony players are good, but they use a lot of proprietary hardware inside so repairing them is an expensive proposition.

:O Last time, i changed the Lens, one repair guy took 400 Rs. from me... :P

Pioneer is made for long life... go for it :)
