Storage Solutions Sony DVD writer problem

Hello all,
I have Sony DVD writer (internal) around 1 year old. Its giving problem in writing now. Nero shows writing going on..on and on... that all . The writing is not happening really. No errors in system event logs or application event logs. Is this a Nero issue? Reading is okey.
Is there any good DVD writer other than Nero?
And once I couldnt write using Nero Start smart. Instead Nero express worked.

Try updating/upgrading firmwares.

These drives are basically Liteon OEMs hence u can upgrade ur firmware to Liteon's one. But google to find correct firmware for your drive.

I have doen upgrading it. but in vain. the basic problem is Nero is not reporting any errors in writing which stuck at 1% .

try upgrading to a newer one

I never preferred Sony DVD RW, had a bad experince and hence shifted to ASUS DVD RW`s, they are really awesome....

I think its problem with Nero. Which are other Wriing software I can use? dont know any.

Don't use nero then... just copy paste files in blank DVD and click on write these files into dvd.... or test with other sw like roxid/ roxio (Don't remb the name now)

Sony have a lot of chinese duplicates available in the market
so dont go for sony better to go for Liteon ,LG, Asus

and your problem may be its a issue with Nero

try MagicISO,Ashampoo Burning, Power ISO , Alcohol 120
