PC MAGAZINE has created a bit of a hullabaloo after one of its writer's claimed that Sony faked the Blu-Ray demo of the new Vaio.

PC Mag hack, Lance Ulanoff showed up at the Sony event launching the sparkling new VAIO which could not only play but also burn Blu-Ray discs.

On one table Sony showed two ARs playing a version of "The House of Flying Daggers" in Blu-Ray. However when the Sony execs were not looking Ulanoff opened the coffee holder to have a look at what a Blu-Ray disc looked like.

Much to his horror he found he was looking at an old DVD+R disc. The Disc had even come out of a box claiming that it was Blu-Ray he said. Since he made his claim, Ulanoff has been slammed for getting the wrong end of the stick. Apparently the two ARs were showing a comparison and he must have opened the DVD+R disc.
