Nintendo's E3 conference left everyone disappointed, with barely any titles shown. In sharp contrast was Sony's conference which was a flood of games. There was something for each of their platforms - the PS2, the PSP, the PSN, and of course the PS3. First party games shown during the event included:

PLAYSTATION 3
>BUZZ! Quiz TV
>God of War 3
>Gran Turismo 5 Prologue
>Heavy Rain
>inFamous
>Killzone 2
>LittleBigPlanet
>MAG
>Motorstorm: Pacific Rift
>NBA '09 The Inside
>Resistance 2
>SingStar Volume 2
>SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs Confrontation

PSP
>BUZZ! Master Quiz
>LocoRoco 2
>NBA '09 The Inside
>Patapon 2
>Resistance: Retribution
>Super Stardust Portable

PSN
>Fat Princess
>Crash Commando
>Flower
>PAIN
>PixelJunk Eden
>Ragdoll Kung Fu
>Ratchet & Clank Future: Quest for Booty
>Siren: Blood Curse
Other Aspects to Note:
>PSN movie and TV video distribution (rental and purchase, SD and HD) starting now. Content can be carried between the PS3 and the PSP. Studios revealed: Warner, Disney, Fox, Liongate, Sony Picture and more.

>PS3 Greatest Hits - $29.99 includes Resistance, Ninja Gaiden Sigma, Assasssin's Creed, Motorstorm, Heavenly Sword, and more.

It was clearly a very boring Sony press conference, the same old bag of CGI tricks with nothing solid to show. It's been almost two years now and the game library is still not very impressive i might add. Home is still not ready after so many promises and longevity of the ps3 be damned cuz by the time the ps3 matures, m$ will be out with the next iteration of the x360 and Sony will have no choice but to follow suit. M$(Barring FF and GeOW2) and ninty were no better either.............

nintendo has already released versions for all their flagship hardcore-fanboy franchises [zelda, mario, metroid], it willtake another genration before another iteration is released. they know damn well that party games is what is driving their sales, so hence more of the games. However, the motion improver addon to wiimotes might change the rules of the game in the coming days. Star wars fanboys are already creaming in the pants at the thought of having lightsaber battles with their wiimotes.

It's a good thing E3 isn't as flashy as it used to be. Now the disappointments don't hit you as hard.

E3 used to be for electronic entertainment fair..now its jus a console hype making fair.

Personally, I thought the X360's hardware upgrades announcements won MS this E3. Some of them include the return of HDD installs and runs and 16:10 support for x360 gamers with Widescreen monitors(1440X900 and 1680X1050).

Every gaming related news or media or whatever is about generating hype.
