Sony Xperia S getting getting official ICS today
The Sony Xperia S is one of the best Android phones out there which the consumer can buy, yet it ran on 2.3 Gingerbread till now, and didn't have Android 4.0 (ICS) until today. Now that problem has been fixed by Sony and they are finally offering Android 4.0 to their flapship phone, The Xperia S. The number version is 4.0.4 and it is coming with resizeable widgets and also a better lock screen.
The update for the ICS is around 200 MB in data, so a wifi connection is recommended over your telecom company's connection, and it can be updated directly from the Phone, but if you wish to update it via the computer, that can be done too using Sony's Xperia Update web platform.
The rollout is being phased and will continue over the upcoming weeks.
