Sony's upcoming mid range and entry level (which itself will pack a dual core Snapdragon S4) smartphones get leaked with more details from reliable sources, and things are looking good. It seems Sony has completely turned to Qualcomm's Snapdragon lineup to power all their 2013 smartphones, and I would say that's a good move given Qualcomm's excellent performance and the community's excellent support for their chipsets (which is increasingly becoming a decisive factor in buying new smartphones for many tech heads).
Sony Xperia SP C530X HuaShan
The Sony Xperia SP is being designed keeping in mind that they have to out a new smartphone that people can comfortably relate to as superior to the very popular Xperia S while not being that costly. And hence you have the Xperia SP. There are only a few features confirmed about it, and till now it's this:
It seems that it is turning out to be a nice device. HD display check, dual core S4 check, powerful Adreno 320 GPU check. What's not confirmed is the RAM content but it will be at least 1 GB. Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean is most welcome, and we hope this time round Sony updates their smartphones in a more timely manner.
Sony Xperia L C210X
The Sony Xperia L is a entry level (a.k.a. lower mid range) smartphone by Sony. The specifications speak of the same, however the device isn't under powered as such. We have gathered some information from our own sources and what we have is pretty much like the final specifications.
Currently, the lower end offering is on Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean, but we expect that to bump up to 4.1.2 before or right after launch (or at least we hope). Again there's a good specifications sheet for what's to become a budget handset. Adreno 305 is a capable GPU almost as powerful as the older Adreno 220 GPU (which is in the Xperia S and SL).
Expect these devices to make a show at MWC 2013.
