Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T30 Ultra Compact Digital Camera
Continuing the slim sexiness of the T line, Sony has announced the ultra-compact Cyber-shot DSC-T30. The T30 is a pretty straightforward upgrade from the T9 with just a handful of changes. One of the Major change being the resolution ,T30 pumps up the resolution to 7.2 megapixels whereas the T9 has 6 megapixels. Sony manages to add a 3 inch (230K pixel) LCD display(though not touchscreen, like their N1)into this very compact body.
The T30 looks almost identical to the T9 & has almost exactly the same dimensions as the T9. The T30 is 3-3/4 x 2-1/4 x 15/16" while the T9 is 3-9/16 x 2-3/16 x 13/16".T30 will be a available in silver and a sleek black look as well.
The T30 features the same sliding lens cover mechanism that was alos present in the T9. Many other features are the same in T30 as in T9.
But the T30 still has the Sony Super SteadyShot image stabilization system, 3x optical zoom and a slide show function.
The T30 adds two more levels of ISO sensitivity, so you can shoot with ISO 800 and ISO 1000 when you need the extra sensitivity like for lower light / higher noise shots.
And as far as battery life, Sony claims that the T30 will get 420 shots (CIPA standards) vs. the 240 shots of the T9. The T30 does have 58MB of internal memory and accepts Memory Stick Duo (and Pro Duo) media.
This looks like a very promising little camera. But with a price tag of an expected $500(A Whooping Rs23000) for May release, It's not cheap, but this camera is about the looks at any budget.
I personally have a Sony's DSC-S600 which is pretty gud....Hope my dad likes this and buys...
