Hi Guys,

After a long research and inputs from the TE forum members,i have finally gone ahead and bought 5530 XM 4 days ago. Sold my 2 year old w580i for 2.5k and effectively got a deal of 9.3k. :hap2:

Everything else is fine except the music department. :(
The sound output is very low. Atleast low for my taste. Tested it even at the shop before buying it. It sounds good in a closed environment. But, not just enough when i am outside. My old w580i sounded much better outside. :@
I am very disappointed with my choice.

Is there any way where i can increase the sound output ??
Should i go for a better earphones ??
Please guys. Advice.

Vikram

maybe a better earphones wud surely help.if u have a budget constraint then go for sennheiser's budget earphones.the model no is MX 160.it costs 499 including shipping on ebay.

I dont know about 5530 but the stock earphones bundled with 5230/5233 are absolutely ridiculous . Sound output is very low and it sounds muddy / it works well with Ep630 though .

Get a pair of IEMs...and even if you are not satisfied with IEM...buy FiiO E5 amplifier and use it with your IEM...

Hey, thanks for all the replies guys.
yes, i am using the bundled earphones which came along with the phone.
Btw, how much would CX180 II Sport or Ep630 ??
Also, FiiO E5 amplifier ??

CX180 II Sport cost around 1.7k and you don't need E5 amp with this pair as they sound really really loud.

go for PL-11 .. eyes closed .. they are certainly a better pair of earphones than EP-630 .. i tested them both .. and soundmagics are way better than creatives .. so .. it wont cost you much too .. some 500 rs or so ..

Under 700 bucks the Soundmagic PL-11 are indeed one of the best IEMs and if you can spend a bit more the PL-21/ PL-30 are a better buy. All 3 models are loud enough and won't need any amplifier.

They are anyday better than the entry level Sennheiser models available and cost half the price !

Also keep in mind that using a Fiio E5 may cause RF interference with the phone and could be really irritating at times .I wouldn't suggest getting an amp for the phone ;)

Gee.... Thanks for all the replies guys. Will go for Soundmagic PL-11. But, i just have one thing. I'd be using it along with my helmet. so, want to make sure that they are real comfy and also dont pop off from my ears while riding. ... Any ideas ??
