I am looking to setup a HomeTheatre PC.
What I have is a blu-ray drive, 4870 GPU, LCD with HDMI.
Now Im lost at the sound part. Ive an old A/V receiver with takes in optical (Yamaha Vx420). Does DTS/Dolby 5.1 (No HDMI). It does take 5.1 RCA cables, but that would be just too messy.
I know i need a sound card. Will this do? Auzentech HDA X-Plosion 7.1 DTS. Maybe there is something new.
Basically, something that can pass unfiltered DTS/DB 5.1 channel sound from my DVD/Game/HD to the Amp via optical (Toslink), and let the Amp handle it from there.
Don't want to spend a bomb for this.
Please suggest.
