Guys how good is the xfi extreme music? I am getting it for 7.5K is it good?? can i get a better rate??

is it much better than aud 2 ZS and SB live DE 5.1 so as to justify replacing them?

Also left all my speakers in Jabalpur...(Z5300 was the last to go) need a good 2.1 (small room) which should be light, small in size but have good sound and decent volume...lastly need a suggestion for a good headphone set, altec lansing?? budget 1.5K for HP, 2.5K for speakers...(no need for extra bass)
 
X-Fi is a excellent sound card better than any other sound card & excellent price but it would be better if you buy X-Fi Platinum.

Buy Philips SBC-HP800 Headphones without Mic for Rs. 1500.

Buy Altec Lansing ATP3 2.1 Channel Speakers for Rs. 2500.
 
7.5 k is a good price ... i was quoted 8 k some time back ... seems like xfi stocks are very very limited and therfore higher price ... dubai its 5k :)

Nice suggestions...platinum is technically the same....only the external hub which I don't need...and how much is it?? However its the card I'm interested in and since both r identi..platinum is a no go..

I know the aud 2 platinum pro....in Jabalpur my cuz bought it 12775/-

Xfi plat wasn't available...we're planning some music editing too ...Have some good bands in Jabalpur who suggested this....So may need 1 real good card... Will be good if dad agrees to start sound editing also as we all love music...

Each of us in the family learnt some musical instument or the other during our lives....Funny vandals aren't associated with music...except maybe breaking glass :P
 
vandal just wait it out till the audigy 2 is completely phased out here, i believe the X-fi will fall into that price range i.e. 5-6k. 7.5k is still on the higher side imo. For the 2.1 speakers @ your budget the altec atp3 which is probably the best ones @ that price. For headphones, the price on zalman 5.1 headfones have been reduced to 1.6k iirc..........

Nice I can wait for the SC...thanks for the advice..why're u posting after so long?? where were u??

Where can I get these zalmans?? And the atp3?? in chennai??

The Zalmans have 3 headphone jacks not 1 so everytime you have to switch wires behind your cabinet.
 
But you get a splitter. It plugs into the socket and it give you 2 more sockets to plug your headphones AND your speakers into.

So, you can use both speakers and headphoinnes at the same time without having to physically disconnect one while using the other.

Check out the speakers.... these are my absolute pride and joy, saved like a real b1tch for them.
Oh Z5500 are hooked up to our dvd player accd to last reports from back home....
after spending nearly 65 grand for 3 speakers... :( I am using a POS iball headset cause have no speakers in chennai...(see siggy again)
everytime I go back home fully loaded and come back bare assed...:@ highway robbery...I say...

Lucky my pop doesn't login here...my ass would be grass
