Soundmagic PL-30 or PL-21

Hi,

I am confused between the PL-30 or PL-21 IEM. Can someone tell me which one would be better for listening to rock music. And it plays on an Ipod right?

For rock i think PL11 would be best as it has more bass, let the experts reply though.
 
I think I'll go for the PL-30... balanced sound:D

PL21 has balanced sound OR get PL30+E5!

I own a pl-11. .
I am thinking for a minor upgrade. .
Which one should I go for?
Most balanced among these? And less bass compared to pl-11's?
 
pl30.. got em last week for a cousin.. Doesn't need amping and honestly for their price, i was simply amazed at their quality.. He has an ipod too and they sounded just fine with all his rock and metal music.

The clarity can be questioned a bit but bro ive read on posts that the pl-30 is a bit better in terms of clarity as compared to the pl-21 which seems to be more on the bass side,,,

I say, go PL-30..
 
there is hardly any differnce betwwen pl11 and pl21 in my personal opinion , because i have both and i hardly find any diff between the two :P

since u already own a pl11 , u wont find much difference with pl21

if u want to upgrade for good to get a diff kind of sound signature , then pl30 is perhaps the answer for u , they r not as bassy as the pl11 and pl21

and if u want bass out of ur pl30 , then u wud have to pair them up with an E3 or E5 amp
 
pl 11 pl 21 and pl 30 have very low impedence and dont want any amp by applying amp dont increase bass of pl30 better go to pl 21 which is really good and warmer with punching bass and great value for money

I guess there is nothing like that and almost all are equally good. PL30 AFAIK are like around the ear shaped and rest normal shaped.
 
I agree that all soundmagic products have somewhat similar built, but many on forums question the durability of that 'bass switch' and also the isolation provided, which seems to be lacking due to the design. Pl21 is said to more sturdier and better at isolation. I just wanted to know individual take on this and whether there has been any built related issues.
Both are brilliant products btw!
 
^ I suppose the PL21 have better build quality than the PL30. I haven't personally seen a PL30, but from what I have read and seen from pics, they are slightly fragile.

I have found PL21 to be decent in terms of build quality.
 
sound magic iem offers best value for money and pl 21 is a good one if you dont like balanced sound some one says pl 11 and pl 21 are same i owm both and they are different, pl 11 boomy some times and sometimes lack the quality but pl 21 is far better than pl 11, main point is they are low end iem if you have money you will get big sound stage and best quality
 
Is pl 30 's bass is lesser than pl 21 ?

Which one got the punchy bass and better mid and high frequency response ?

control knob of the pl 30 is worthable or not ?
