I know that there are some threads that cover this topic but i have seen a mixed response and need a more personal advice. I have a sansa Clip + the default for my music and also have Sony ericssson walkman W350i also my PC i will be switching these headphones on these 3 devices . On to the Music type , I listen to a lot of Rock,Alternative Rock and POP like LP,Coldplay,Kings of leon,.....bit of Eminem.

^ I would suggest JVC with 30+ hours of burn-in.

Adequate bass in jvc, whereas pl 11 has a better and warm treble.

But pl 11 has better wearing comfort and maybe even a better seal.

Let the gurus pitch in. :)

I have Sansa clip+ with JVC MM and SM Pl-11.IMO JVC is more bass inclined and not suitable for longer hearing and has very terrible treble. PL 11 > MM.

A kramer modded JVC Marshmallow sounds way way better than a PL-11. The bass is tighter and treble is tamed with foam :P

Try at your own risk .

IMO yes.I Would prefer PL-11 without any mod and PL-30 wider sound stage, mature and good for longtime hearing.

P.S - that just me.Might be good for you.
