Forum Feedback Spamming in Joker's Club section

As you guys must have noticed, many many people post consecutivle y in the section.

The replies are standard.. "awesome", good one, superb, and some smileys.

While I have nothing against them posting, when I click on new posts after a few hours, there are much much more results than usual.

And many many of them are from the joker's club spams.

Most of the jokes posted are Awesome. We all agree on that. But somehow that spamming has to be stopped.

That day, I remember, Bluffmaster had posted at least 10 times for 10 consecutive jokes. Gets very annoying when you have to search through the results for other threads.

Or is there some way where you can exclude the Joker's club from the NEW POSTS search ??

How about using some kind of rating over there where ppl who feel awesome and stuff can give ratings just like polls....

Like 5 stars for the best joke or on scale of 10 eg 7.8/10 something like that??

by doing that nobody is gonna spam at the same time ppl are happy that they have shown their appreciation.

A list of ppl who gave what rating if possible can also be added.

What say ppl???
 
Yes disabling the replies and having a rating system is a good idea.. will keep the spam in check and also take care of appreciation part.. nice inputs.
 
Yeah but is there a way to completely exclude the jokes section (or anyother section which is of not interest) from the newpost search.

Finding it tough to see any "tech" related entries in this ocean of jokes or p/j's .....

is "tech" on the verge of divorcing "enclave" ??

perhaps the new breed of jokers (err i meant guys posting jokes etc...) be given a seperate section, where they can post their stuff, and which is not displayed in the main forum page, a.k.a my rig or Gallery, sparing us the blushes ....(out of embarrasment really)
 
^^ Completely agree, the new threads made in jokers sections far outnumber tech threads, and you can try disabling post count in that section to reduce spams
 
ya i think just the rating will do i suppose. Since its only good to read the jokes. And one cant exactly comment on them. So disable the replies and just have the rating.......

Oh I am Sorry , I did'nt Knew I was Unintentionally spamming the board ! From Now on You Wont ever Hear From me in the jokers Section ! I Hope That Solves ur Problem Nikhil ! But I still wonder How U got those near 6k Posts !
 
Dude!!! There is a way to spam also.... listen to the master :P

I just reply properly in many threads...... I rarely rteply to jokes....

Just replying to jokes by "awesome" "good one" , etc..... is mindless spamming....
