speakers under 10k !

Hey!
I've been on the hunt for some 2.1/2.0 speakers for me hostel room! After trawling through the forum for some time, the audioengine a2 seemed pretty sweet. But, where can i get them from!?( im in delhi) bajaoo doesn't seem to have them .
meanwhile, i get these urges to buy the harman kardon soundsticks! they look sooo beautiful!
Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated! I need the speakers mainly for music.

Are you looking for active or passive speakers?

I don't own an amp :| and i guess a pair of speakers and an amp is would be almost impossible in my budget! So, active i guess.

You could buy a topping amp (search on ebay) and JBL control one speakers. Else audioengine A2 is a pretty decent choice

Audioengines are available with pristinenote afaik

pristinenote's selling them for 14k , feels a bit unfair!
The JBL control one speakers look interesting! and i think i'll have a go at building the topping amp ! Thanks!

Have you considered SoundBars? Many companies sell 2 and 2.1 SoundBars and are easily available with a starting rate of around 5-6000 and it would provide a decent sound quality.
