speed reduced to 512 kbps from 1 mbps @MTNL delhi

i started browsing and utorrent was running in background (capped at 500 kbps ) ,after sometime i realised low browsing speed :S and then i checked utorrent (working fine @500 kbps) and then i checked router page and found that m at 512 kbps instead of 1 mbps ,anyone else experiencing the same?:huh:
 
Just checked , they have reduced my upstream from 1 mbps to 512 kbps . But downstream is still 1mbps . Looks like they made a mistake in your case . Call them up and ask them to fix it .
 
Not really , the official plan was always 512kbps upstream but they had upgraded old users to 1 mbps upstream . They are just correcting that . I am in fact happy because my line has high upstream attenuation because of which at a high data rate it sometimes disconnected randomly .
 
My download & upload has also decreased to 512 kbps from 1mbps since saturday, mtnl cc dont even know what downstream & upstream is, whenever i call 1504 they just tell me to change the dns or mtu. I have sent an email to my exchange's area manager with screenshots of my modem configuration page, hope this will work.

CC guys are from some different galaxy :tongue:, they are cc guys and they dont know what is upstream and downstream :rofl:

now my speed is again :

1 Mbps UPstream :bleh:
