It's called Spice Fire One Mi-FX1 and has been priced at an unbelievable price of Rs,2,299 INR :woot:

Here's the key config:
Display - 3.50-inch HVGA (320x480 pixel)
Processor - single core 1GHz
Front Camera - 1.3-megapixel
OS - Firefox OS
Rear Camera - 2-megapixel
Dual sim support and 2G only

It comes facebook & twitter pre installed. And it also has several Indian language support. It also supports video calls! A 2K INR device with video calls support is really fantastic.

PS - I do not have much details about HW config, so please reply if something missed, I will update the OP.

Video call support and 2G only??? How is that possible?
i wanted to ask the same question.
Wi fi is there. Should be enough for video calls.
Not everyone has WiFi dude. 3G should've been there. Its like this phone is dedicated to a particular section of the consumer ie. only people with internet connection and wifi at home. so basically this phone will remain stuck at home if you want to video call unless someone wants to share their WiFi pw's.

It costs ONLY Rs.2299.
Even feature phones at that price do not have Wi Fi.

And about video calls on 3G. 1hr of Skype video call consumed about 200MB. It would be pretty costly to use 3G and video chat regularly.

If you wanted 3G for web surfing, that is a valid point. But at that price point, whatever is provided looks like a bonus to me.

I have only two questions
1)What's the battery life like?
2)Can it play at least 480p MKV videos without stuttering?

How often do you guys video call ? Haven't even done it once. :\
using hangout regularly. it sucks on 2G.

I beg to differ. Forget the price anyone would expect 3G and not wifi if video call is mentioned. and oh 3G=convenience on the go. WiFi=stuck at one place.

Zte open c was able to play videos upto 720p as the reviews say. Since i believe this to be the reinstatement effort by Mozilla, i hope they have put thought into their phones being able to play atleast 720p easily. Also, people were able to flash Android 4.4 on zte open c. (
) . Should be interesting. Man, all these new VFM devices ( firefox phones, chromebooks etc) tickles my nerd hormones. I dont have to dream about them to own them.

^saar, compared to phones available in 3K range, this Spice phone is amazing. Even if FF OS fails. It all boils down to pricing.

Eager to see more companies making phones with FF OS. I wonder if they are concentrating only on entry-level models and how light/heavy the OS is.

I think down the line we will get more powerful and features heavy phone suing the FF OS. We just need to be a little patient, that's all.
