Beenox, who made last year’s Shattered Dimensions, are doing dev duties. No platforms are mentioned in the press release, but PC, 360, PS3, Wii and DS versions were all released for SM. Don’t be too shocked to see them.

The storyline sees the Amazing Spiderman and Spiderman 2099 coming together as you try to “correct a timestream gone awry and prevent a catastrophic future brought on by the early and untimely death of Peter Parker.â€

Spiderman 2099 writer and co-creator Peter David is penning the story.

“The first Spider-Man entry by Beenox, Spider-Man™: Shattered Dimensions, was touted as one of the wall-crawler’s best Spider-Man games to date from both critics and fans,†said global brand management director, Vicharin Vadakan.

“Beenox is once again taking a fresh and different approach to bring a fast-paced and high-octane adventure and unexpected story to life in Spider-Man: Edge of Time.â€

Beenox studio boss Dee Brown added: “At Beenox, we are constantly listening to the fans and looking for new and creative ways to innovate the gameplay experience for them.

“We want to create a totally distinct experience in Spider-Man: Edge of Time by working with Peter David on the story and creating this urgent, high-stakes experience where time is working against you and the fate of Spider-Man hangs in the balance.â€

The game will make its first appearance at Wondercon 2011 in San Francisco this weekend.

Shattered dimensions was amazing. Voice actor, the char profile, the diversity of moves and gameplay and even the comedy only got boring after two playthroughs. Looking forward to this one.

I just wish there are better physics in this game.

In Spiderman Shattered Dimensions my head got stuck in the wall and also i wish the game is a open-world based. I missed endless swinging around the city.

The gameplay looks exactly like Shattered Dimensions and with even 2 spidey's missing....what is up with Activision? :P

Spiderman SD is a good direction of Spidey game after the recent movie games..I completed the first level yet,,its fun and gameplay-control-voice acting > everything is spot on ; only story is bit weird, I will prefer some original spiderman comics story like - identity crisis //

Is this releasing tomorrow PC also?

Would've searched myself but my GPRS very fast that it opens pages so fast that it is invisible to my eyes. :P

Sucks! The game seems to have received mixed reviews. :(

IGN gave it a lowly 4.5 on 10, Joystiq gave it a 3 out of 5, GamePro rewarded it a 3 out of 5.

I think I might skip this one. I'll wait for some more reviews before I take the plunge.

That is surprising. I thought the gameplay was generally based off Shattered Dimensions which was quite well received.

All right from the reviews, it seems the game is really repetitive and you keep on doing the same things in narrow corridors with no freedom to move about. And there is no flexibility and ease of movement which is synonymous with spiderman.

Seriously, I think Spiderman is best in New York with large open spaces to roam about, and pulling of stylish moves and attacks in mid-air, like in the original "Spider-Man: The Movie". A spiderman who is limited to web swinging in narrow corridors and restricted by a goddamn roof over his head, just seems... out of place.

^^Yeah..you got that right. well, the reviews are mixed. @Ethan- Please review us how did you find the game good bad what? Thanks. :)

as per ign review,,this game is pretty lame and kinda back stepping from the previous games, very less variety n boring
