Remember the gorgeous looking Splinter Cell Conviction? Well, recently the game has been totally off the radar with very few details emerging. Strange, when you consider that it was originally delayed from a November 2007 release and primed for a 2008 release.
There's a rumour that has surfaced from Xbox 360 World magazine stating that Ubisoft has decided to rework the game as it wasn't 'ground-breaking enough'. Furthermore, the magazine speculates that the sixth title in the popular Splinter Cell series may now be delayed until 2010.
Working on the title is Ubisoft Montreal, the same team behind Assassin's Creed. Both of these games boast an innovative crowd mechanic, but it's been suggested that Ubisoft isn't totally happy with its performance in Assassin's Creed and has decided to make some changes
Ubisoft hasn't flatly denied the rumour, but it has said that it is 'purely speculation'.
