Split AC ODU installed in wrong location ?

i have hitachi kaze plus 1.5 ton.
.the installer guy hurriedly came and installed it..he installed ODU in our balcony and said it will be protected.

but i said ODU are meant for outside..but at that time he already drilled the ODu stand..now in my balcony infront of ODU there is only 800 mm of opening then there is grill and some small wall..

my qs-whether it will cause any damage to ODU compressor or not....but one thing does happen that in AUTO mode the compressor starts and stops automatically it happens within 10-15 min interval...my qs is whether is it normal in a non-inverter AC or my compressor is getting tripped due to faulty place installation?

Installation and compressor shut off both are normal, as long as the temperatures inside the room are fine. Your balcony will be warmer than usual, but doesn't seem to be any other issues. Many split outdoor units are installed in balconies without issues. You need to check the airflow. The flow should be from the wall towards free air, not towards the wall. To test compressor shut off, set the temperature really low, say 19 degrees, and see if it stays on a bit longer. If it does it is fine.
