Square Enix drops off Hitman franchise developers 'IO Interactive'

In a sudden storm, looks like Square Enix wants to get rid of IO Interactive.
The company has already started looking for investors to sell off studios.
If they don't find a buyer, they will shutdown the studio.

Ay, real shame. Hitman 2016 was seemed to be quite popular.

PS The new Deus Ex didn't met square enix expectations as well.
On the other side of globe, there has been elimination round at Bioware Montreal due to poor performance of ME:Andromeda.
Looks like that franchise is going to be put on halt as well.
This all reminds me of dead space

No, IO kept the rights to Hitman, Season 2 will probably happen.

I think due to the always online feature of hitman many people skipped it.

They actually dropped always online but in offline mode you don't level up gears so no replayability and no contracts mode.
Without those game can be finished in 5-6 hours
