Storage Solutions SSD Samsung vs Sandisk

I am planning to get a SSD FOR MY notebook. For my budget I have narrowed down to Samsung 840 120gb or SanDisk ssd 128 GB. Which would be better? The random read write seems better by 10 times inn the Samsung. The notebook primary usage is document processing and browsing.

I'd go with the Samsung. 840 pro or vanilla 840? If its the vanilla 840 you could probably fall back to the 830. The newer 840 has TLC NAND with 1K P/E cycles. The older 830 had regular MLC NAND rated at 5K P/E cycles (but was doing 10K in some XtremeSys endurance tests), which means the drives last longer.

The random read write seems better by 10 times inn the Samsung.

The random read/write speeds being faster in samsung is just going via the specs.

Samsung: read 85k, write 32k
Sandisk: read 8k, write 2.1k

Samsung 840 is the non pro version, 830 seems to unavailable most of the places. Any idea of the controller used in Sandisk? Is it reliable?

^ Its probably Sandisk's own controller. The low IOPS seem similar to the U100 mSATA SSD.
