Guys facebook has launched standalone messenger app for iPhone :

Facebook Messenger for iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad on the iTunes App Store

Yea .. whats the deal with that. I've been pulling my hair out trying to locate the app on the market.

Finally it searched the market through the browser and it showed that the app is incompatible with my device (Moto DEFY) ..

as it was unavailable in my region (India).

Any clue why its a region limited release for android.

This was expected after they bought Beluga, a group-messaging app! I would love to see this get more features that brings it on par with BBM, iMessage and the likes!
