I was hoping that this would be released for the PC as well. The console version has great physics, but poor graphics. I hope the PC version has both. This game would be very CPU intensive. The developers stated that the main reason that this was not released for the PC was because of the CPU muscle required.

you do realize that was a totally bullshit excuse they made right? considering that pcs have had a lot more power (cpu, gpu or anything) than the consoles for quite some time now.

For GPU Power, The PC's are superior no doubt, but for CPU Power, not always. 360 and PS3 both pretty powerful multi-core PPC CPU's running at high clocks (3.2GHz) and add to that, that almost the entire power of the CPU is at the disposal of the game and the developers optimize the game keeping that in mind. On PC, there will be a tonne of tasks running in the background. I don't think a typical < 3.0GHz Core 2 Duo would be any match for that kind of power, but I guess a Core i7 or a overclocked C2Q would be more than a match.

As for Force Unleased, I believe what the developers said is true to a extent, but certainly not as bad as they put it. Havok CPU Physics has been used in many games on the PC already, So I guess you just need a high end PC to run the game in its full glory.

well said, I never looked the cpu spec for the above mentioned consoles - thought their main advantage on super speed in between the various peripherals and absolutely optimized games and efficient use of resources.

We need a Gamer Mode of Windows 7 - where all other unnecessary services will be shutdowned and only bare minimum will be there

A new teaser trailer out for TFU.

"The appearances of Luke Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi in the Sith Edition of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed are shown in a new trailer, as well as their demises.

Two new missions in the Sith Edition--the first of which will also be released as downloadable content--see Darth Vader's secret apprentice slaying his master to become the Emperor's new dogsbody, tasked with wiping out those goody-goody Jedi."

i was talking about raw cpu power. no one can say that the pc platform has less computing power than a console.

the reason that console games seem to work so good is because developers are only working with a single hardware configuration that they can optimize for, like you mentioned. that's called taking advantage of the platform, which is fine. now if the developer similarly takes advantage of the pc platform's strengths, then that very same <3.0ghz core 2 duo paired with a decent gpu will have higher framerates, higher resolutions, higher quality textures, larger levels, more geometry, better sfx etc. in fact, if done right, a pc version of a game will outshine it's console counterpart in every imaginable way.

in the 8 short months since they made that pathetic excuse, has the entire world moved on to i7s or something? unless this is a gta4 type port, which was horrible, a computer with a c2d+ proper gpu should be able to handle the game just fine. it's laughable when their excuse for not releasing the game on the most powerful platform is that it doesn't have enough power.
