Starlink in India soon

Happy with this if that pushes others like jio airtel etc to lay down even more fiber wherever it hasnt reached yet...I firmly believe that despite techonological advancements wired will always have an advantage just due to physics...look at wired audio vs bt, wired power vs wireless (I heard this is there as niche use case), wired broadband vs 5g/6g/10g, wired video output (hdmi) vs wireless hdmi and many more that I am not aware of

TLDR: Looking forward to this to provide competetion and if this gets other companies to lay down even more fiber for broadband

Sidenote: Its always interesting to see people fight in favor/against for billionaires, players etc. and that too so passionately. They dont give 1 thought throughout their lives about you/us then why give them so much footage and waste energy.

I would refrain foreign players in Indian satellite internet business .They will kind of control the communication which is bad .US can indirectly fund it and get easy access.
I agree with the sentiment but imo this is a battle we lost a long time ago. Everything from chips all the way up to the messengers that we use to communicate are already controlled by the US. We need to fix that before we worry about the pipes.

in tech we can make quick comeback .i feel government has to back this with private players.

But major concern over here is who will build this and funding for it. Our taxation is very punitive and wasteful .A lot of us would want to setup some business and come out of rat race but one of the biggest concern is healthcare.

example of wasteful taxation /policies .Medical expenses and the current approach to overcome is pretty wasteful .Currently most of the population is young and probability of expenditure on medical emergencies is less.

You take Mediclaim and nothing happens to you for that calendar year than that money has gone down the drain. Rather than that government should take over all the private players and give Mediclaim insurance to all the citizens with partial pay by the individual .With the funds collected they can build good medical facilities along with medical colleges. In this way you could build the whole medical infra .For the extra money which in this medical fund it could be used for R&D in medical field. The money that is collected from a certain individual has to be passed down /transferrable through generations of family so at certain point our health care is self reliant and over the time Mediclaim expenses are compulsory yet nominal.

Installation cost of equivalent half a lakh means few will be able to afford

Illegal use of starlink already happening

Only time before terrorists start using drones with starlink to start bombing us and as usual we will be caught sleeping and not be able to react to it. By now it should be clear that Pakistan and Bangladesh will work with Chinese companies to use fpv drones to target Indian states in North. Lets see how long our ministers and defense experts will sleep.

Musk says it is false.

If the drones are small they would have to be launched inside India. Yeah drones have a limited range

If they are big they will be slow moving snd show up on radar. Which means easy to take out

The paks have been using drones to deliver drugs and weapons for a while now. But its small amounts.
