Recently i took a reliance broadband connection. Interestingly the Sales person didn't take 1 month advance and booked the connection.
I went a head with Combo 2mbps plan, after paying the installation amount i spoke with my friend who had a reliance broadband earlier suggested not to go for Reliance broadband as the network stability is same as beam ( Might go down once in a while)

I called up sales person immediately and asked him to make it a Simple landline plan, upon agreeing he did the same. Installed was completed within 2 days by a Outsourced technicians who confirmed what my friend was saying.. that their wiring is overhead (Landline cables overhead through out area?? Seriously?), however he guaranteed there would be no disconnections.

After 3-4 days i observed that landline is dead during power cuts, i have raised an automated complaint on toll free number 3000-7777. Reaching customer care agent is PITA. I wish to upgrade this connection in to an Combo plan soon but seriously no backup during power cuts is really not good.

I believe that there are enough people who are using reliance landline connections. I guess there should be other ways of contacting customer care or higher authorities to get things done quickly.
Need a list of email ids and other contact numbers to reach customer care without hassle. I realized i did a good thing by not subscribing to broadband.

^ I already have beam, Switched to reliance because of NO FUP.
Don't like driving ferrari for first 10days and Nano for next 20 days in a month. BTW, BSNL is dead in Hyderabad.

Get in touch with directly to nodal officer. Or you can also take pgportal route. My issue solved after continuous follow up with nodal officer .
You did good thing that didn't opt for broadband.
 
I had a nightmare in Chennai when we had frequent power cuts. The Cut schedule was at 6 in evening and the Reliance BB would disconnect itself in the evening and magically turn up at 6 in the morning. Called a numerous people, but not resolved. For 2 months I bore the brunt of it. Finally wrote a letter to some officer and issued notice for termination.

Reliance is bad than what i imagined. Many suggested pgportal route. For now will test landline connection for more 2 months.


It took 15mins to reach agents even after 1am. Fkd up company.
 
@cisco_tech Nodal officer is of no use. Sent an email and no reply.
Got a call from mumbai for feedback, i just explained helpless situation. He told he will forward the complaint as expected no response.
I am thinking to use pgportal after 3 days, giving them enough time.
Reliance has joined the worst telecom companies having useless CC after hathway CC fiasco in 2006.

I had similar experience. you can escalate to an appellate authority of reliance at following number : 18602002011 monday to friday 9 am - 6.30 pm. Worked for me twice. Although i quoted words like " consumer court case and i asked for their legal address to send court orders :D "

Here's the funny part. After closing the ticket without resolution, i called up Nodal no. The Guy on the phone checked my ticket and said there's a power backup issue in the whole area.
Initially i thought i misheard and asked him to repeat.
He says it will take 3 months of time to sort out the issue. Their response is worst than a LCO, He ended the call by saying he will make sure that things will get right in the next 2 months.

Two days back asked them to activate STD facility, the woman noted down wrong number in the request and today i had to give request again.

Bolo Bhai. Reliance Mahaan hai!
 
This time its Mobile Services

We have an CDMA postpaid connection. I decided to change the plan for which they said they will do only at end of billing cycle.
I called two days before billing date and asked them to change the plan and remove the addon pack which offers free on-network calls.

I called up CC two days later and ask for status, the women on the phone says they have taken request for GSM plan so it was rejected. WTF? How can can he take request for CDMA number. [Dumb Idiots]

Gave a Fresh request for plan change.. The guy Schedules base plan change and also deactivates addon pack. Well Good.
Again get a SMS saying that Addon has been ACTIVATED. Calling CC they will tell again it has been activated, why the hell would anyone activate again?
They take a request to deactivate the pack but its not been deactivated even after billing cycle date. Luckily this time the same guy who took base plan request spoke and i bashed him on the phone. He says its not his fault.

I called up Appellate Auth. They say the Addon pack has been deactivated already :P


End of the Day, Reliance Communications is Shit!
 
Applied for disconnection 4 weeks back. Got an confirmation call long back but after that customer care repeats it'll happen soon. Any suggestions?
 
stop paying the bill.
works perfectly.
Appellate authority was helpful in this case. Connection was terminated in 1 hour after a call to them.
