Steam is having it's annual holiday sale from now until January 2nd, and they're offering discounts ranging from 10%-75%.

they have some really sweet deals. team fortress 2 is down to $9.99, as is unreal tournament 3. portal is $4.99. the unreal pack which includes every unreal game made till date (single player and multiplayer, excluding ut2003) is $19.99. i just got bioshock for $4.99. unbelievable.

you can probably get cod 4 and waw cheaper from amazon or gogamer if you look around. as for l4d, get someone in india to gift it to you... it costs 800 bucks here (~16$) which is way cheaper than even the discounted steam price.

I like having my games on steam maintaining dvds is a big problem for me.I would buy from steam even if its a little expensive.
left4dead gift from someone in india is a good option but will it work here in US as you cant play TF2 bought in india if u relocate in US as you bought a cheaper version which is to combat piracy.

an indian cd key won't work for you. all the cd keys that are given with boxes here are used only for the indian subcontinent.

however, if someone already has l4d on their account and they add another l4d key to it, it will get added as a 'gift'. this gift can be given across all regions and there are no restrictions on it.

Thats what I thought..anyway the sale is till Jan 2 so I have time to think abouth which games I want to buy:hap2:
 
My all Orange box games were removed from Steam Client few months before.. i opened ticket with enough proof that I've bought the game.. they given me all the games back..

Why to punish Genuine Orange box owners?? That's not fear..

Edit: Just bought TF2, Damn tempted to buy the steam pack!@_@.

Edit: OK, I have TF2 in a steam account, now if I buy the steam pack in that account, will TF2 go waste or will I get an extra copy of the same??Sorry n00b doubt :(.

only gift options available on valve titles was with orange box for HL2,episode 1 and episode2.So u will loose ur TF2 copy which u already have

if u bought that tf2, make sure u created a new steam id as otherwise it'll be pointless for u

and if u already have tf2 in ur account and u buy the complete pack, then you shud get it as a gift option

and someone pls gift me the steam complete pack :P
