PC Peripherals Steelseries Apex [Rasw] or 6Gv2.

Hi,
First let me start by saying I will probably buy only one of the 2.
I as have used other brands in the past namely: Raszer, Logitch etc, though I like logitech,
no other brand including Razer lives longer than as few months with me maybe I just abuse them, but they don't so its between the 2. As my Steelseries has lasted for well over 2 years.

What like like in the Apex:
1. Backlight

What I like in the 6Gv2:
1. Solid Feel.
2. Same as my current keyboard.
3. Mechanical Keys, this is the biggest change I am not liking at all. I somehow love the mech Keys though they do then to get noisy.

I can't decide weather to let go of the mech. keys for newer tech?

PS. Also there is not a 6Gv2 with Reed Cherry keys so whats the difference between that and Black?

Last question first. The reds are lighter than the blacks. The black need a more actuation force than the red, hence are more noisier too. Reds would a slightly less noisier. If you want mech kb and no noise, look for custom solutions. Like the Das Silent ones.

One look at the Apex and it makes me cringe. It looks like a super crowded KB. Gaming or otherwise it'll be difficult to get used to that clumsy layout, I'd stay away. My laptop has a better Keyspacing than this.
