I have a SGS3 running on a custom ROM (Bought pre-owned and pre-installed). I want to flash the stock back. But, I seem to not being able to find it in spite of much effort.:( Can anybody point me to a source please?

Thanks in advance.[DOUBLEPOST=1379945822][/DOUBLEPOST]Found as soon as posted. Had looked on Sammobile before, but somehow couldn't locate. Thanks for reading.

So, best way to flash> ROM Manger or Odin or something else?

Be careful while flashing using Odin though, it's a cranky software. Make sure you have good USB cable and sufficient power back so that the flashing is not interrupted.

Thanks for all your replies. :) I will be careful. I have used Odin with my Old Galaxy 3 a few times but, not recently as don't get much time to tinker with it.

Also, Flashing shouldn't wipe everything on internal memory i.e. eMMC (/sdcard) partition. It would wipe just the data partition. Am I right?

I have 2 partitions /sdcard which is internal memory & /extsdcard which is micro SD card. Will both be safe or do I need to. Move content from /sdcard?

Both will be safe... But to be safe, copy internal sd stuff to memory card and remove it...

Edit:
Sorry thats for flashing via cwm... Think odin wipes internal sd

here's how to do it in 3~5 mins, provided you've already downloaded the image file from internet:

1) install ClockWorkMod recovery (CWM)
2) reboot to recovery mode (thru CWM) and take a 'nandroid' backup of your present ROM.
3) put the image file on your device (location would be specified on the webpage from where you downloaded the ROM/image).
4) reboot to recovery mode and flash the desired ROM

You can find all the relevant options on the CWM recovery menu. In case you don't like the ROM or facing some issues, just go back to your previous ROM (thru CWM).

Thanks all! So, I would need to take backup of /sdcard partition before I flash. Also, backup my current ROM. Odin is preferred method. Can I flash stock through ROM manager, seems easiest.

I had flashed a few ROMs on my old galaxy 3 using Odin but, As there was never anything on internal memory except contacts, I was never worried. As now I have a lot of things on internal memory including Camera Photographs, Titanium Backup and a few other imp things, I was worried about /sdcard being wiped.

U can also flash stock based custom ROM's (deodexed rom's ) through recovery(cwm or twrp ). This would be the easiest procedure since you should already have recovery installed.

U cannot flash image files through cwm, only zip files. To flash image files you need Odin.

Hi Guys,

I flashed stock downloaded from SammobIle using Odin, Flash completed successfully. Then, the device is stuck in Bootloop. All the solution I am finding right now talk of using clockwork mod recovery.
