Strange behaviour of net - Is this DNS issues ?

1. A few hours back one of our domains expired. We started seeing a registrar's domain available page when we tried Inspirational Arts

2. We contacted the providers and got the domain renewed instantly. They did that and we started seeing the updated expiration date on who.is

3. I contacted a few of my friends and they too started seeing the site properly when they type Inspirational Arts

4. When I try it through MTNL or Hathway on our local network, I still keep seeing the registrar's domain available page !

5. My ping and tracert also points to some other IP which is different from the IP of my actual site.

6. If I go to dnsstuff.com and use its ping and tracert services, I am able to see the correct IP

Can anyone help me in understanding whether its a DNS propagation issue or something else ?
 
it works fine for me.... btw one of the nameserver is timing out.

mostly it shud be a dns issue. try using opendns dns server!!
 
opendns is a alternative dns server. jst visit opendns.com for more info.

change dns server to the above and try.
 
Basically your dns records are cached. Sometimes it takes a little while for the records to be propagated.

I think you can change the timeout a bit in the dns records, that is _supposed_ to help, but I don't know if people actually follow the standard in that regard.
