strange mtnl wifi router problem

i just changed my router. mtnl sent me a wifi router as requested. it is hg520 with 4 lan ports.

the problem is the net keeps stopping. when i ping the dns it keeps showing REQUEST TIMED OUT from time to time because of which the connection with any site im surfing breaks.

please help....

That screenshot helps zilch in explaining the cause of your problem.

Is the router in bridged or PPoE mode? Connection gets broken in what intervals? Is it the wi-fi or ethernet connection that is breaking r is it just the net access? DNS etc shown in your network connection if it's only net access that is being blocked?

Edit: Are there 2 screenshots cos I can see just the one? I can see another link to a image host but no pics.
