Strange problem in XP PRO

hey guys i have this strange problem in xp professional. when I go into the task bar and enter the properties and after making changes i hit the ok button it refuses to disappear quickly ,but it does after sometime. although it doesn't cause me any problems its quite annoying. my configuration is

Motherboard --- Abit IP35 PRO
CPU ---- Intel Core2Quad Q6600
Memory ---- Transcend 2*1GB DDR2 800
Video ----- GeCube Radeon HD3850 512MB OC Edition
PSU ----- Zebronics Platinum 500watts
HDD ---- WD 160GB SATA2 , Seagate 80GB PATA
Optical Drive ---- Asus DVD RW

Plz hepl me guys.
 
try to clear Internet Cache files like cookies temporary internet files history etc. and also clean ur recycle bin... defrag hard drive... also check whether any spyware silently running by any reputed anyspyware... uninstall any unused old software... i think this will help you...
 
Well.... you may want to check your monitor refresh rate. If it is too high, sometimes weird stuff can happen. I used to have such an issue with Yahoo Messenger (and nothing else) if the monitor refresh rate was too high...
