hi guyz i have strange problem with harddisk it samsumg old harddisk my friend was using it but when we went for format it doesnt get format or cannt delete data in it if u delete data manul then also came back and cannt create partition if u delete it cm back to original partition plzz help wht to doo

try using GParted from linux live disks, it should help incase of viral issues.

sometimes this happens when the mbr is messed up, in that case you will have to completely erase all partitions.

i had similar issues with samsung drives, even after creating mbr from scratch partitions used to change size... had to go for replacement finally.
