CPU/Mobo Strange Problem

I am facing a problem that my USB keyboard and mouse at times dont wake up.

What i mean is if I leave my PC idle then they dont respond at all. I have to switch of the PC and wait for couple of seconds, when I restart they start working again.

When this situation happens replugging, replugging on different USB slots etc just does not help.

Have been trying to google for solution but no luck. Then I was tinkering and found one error today and wondering if the error and my problem is co-related.

The error message is there attached as pic. Also my config is my signature. I am on Windows 7 64bit edition.

Do let me know what you guys think.

this reply may not help in anyways but I have ditto same problem.. replugging solves sometimes, and sometimes connecting to usb hub.. I am using Razer Blackwidow and Deathadder
 
my problem does not get solved with unplugging even. however i am sure its just usb sleeping off, coz if you connect ps2 mouse it moves the mouse pointer

Try updating the BIOS, if you already got the latest version try old version and see if the error still comes. Other than this try turning off EPU/PowerSaving/ErP modes, if you got On/Off Charge USB port enabled disable it.
 
ok another update

yes bios are updated, power settings tweaked, in bios usb kb/mouse is on etc is done

I have a backlit keyboard and now while i was working n googling for solutions, suddenly mouse pointer started stuttering and then keyboards back lit lights started blinking n suddenly they all gone. and unplugging/replugging didnt help at all. :(

is it now mobo or ram or power supply issue ? any clues? i just opened my case removed rams , power mobo connector and cpu connector n started again lets see how long this lasts?
 
1. If you've installed too many USB devices there may be an IRQ sharing problem. Attach only the basic devices and let it sleep.

2. Check your front/extra USB Port wiring once again, if it's faulty it may cause problems with the rear USB ports too.

3. Enable all the USB Controller features in your BIOS.

4. Enable ACPI in your BIOS if it has been disabled.

just one more thing, this time when things went stuck. my phone and ipod both kept charging. and all 4 devices are connected to back port

Today after many days I started to play games. I am using front USB for Keyboard and Mouse as that is not freezing up my PC.

However when I started playing COD MW3, online my game froze and funny colors were there. Like gun was purple or bright red. So i first thought net trouble , checked my speed it was good around 4.5mbps

Then I tried offline, even in offline the colors were ok but graphics were all awakward I am pasting images of the graphics.

Also game was freezing every 5 seconds, I use ctrl+alt+del to get out and game starts back and then stops again after 5-10 seconds and graphics were always bad.

Do you guys feel previous problem and this problem is related?

Earlier was wondering Mobo fault, wondering if Graphics also is mobo fault.

I already uninstalled Nvidida once, Used CC cleaner, and reinstalled fresh Stable drivers. nor steam forums have any complaints about COD graphics lately. so It is my PC issue.

Regarding your USB sleep option, there will be a jumper on your mobo for the same. just select the proper pins.

Regarding the colours, mostly GPU issue. reinstall drivers and check with different card.

As far as the MBR issue posted in the first post, mostly your HDD is at fault.
 
@ Vivek , I know the jumpers, but i dont think jumpers are issue, becoz problem started a month back out of the blue. I havent changed jumpers or added any new component prior to that.

as for Colors, as i said, uninstalled, cccleaned, redownloaded, reinstalled this whole chain I have done twice. And I can blame colors on GPU but the freezing of game and CTRL+ALT+DEL and going back to make it run again seems beyond GPU

MBR yeah thought so on HDD, almost rectified that

I just posted problems that have suddenly sprung up in last month in my system. Since they happened in short time I am suspecting one culprit rather than different ones.
 
Thought will update you,

I changed Motherboard and all problems from USB sleep to Graphic Card Crashes etc have disappeared. So if something like this happens to you guys (i hope/pray not) then you know which part is the culprit
