Graphic Cards Strange Problem

I recently purchased a intel original 915 Mobo , 3.0 Mhz processor , 512 DDR Ram , UPS , and combo Drive

Now i have a very Strange problem

My PC restartd abruptly when ever i start Sound recorder and Condition Zero.
But games like NFS Underground , Splinter Cell works fine.

I havnt run memtest till now , and temp is around 55-66 Degrees

Can any one tell whats wrong ???

I run windows XP Sp2

is it only with these 2 applications only..??
Have u tried running any other version of CS like 1.6?

CS is Counter Strike

And regarding problem ,
The PC was for my frnd.

He is using onboard sound card only.
The prob occours some times with winamp (rarely)

And am usin CZ 1.6 only

Do u have the latest mobo drivers/graphics drivers installed on ur system?

Check event viewer if there are any errors, post them here.

Do check if DirectX is installed properly.
Sometimes, due to a bad or corrupt installation of DirectX also, a game crashes at loading to cause the comp to restart.

actually some techies had suggested to check sound drivers , but due to timing of backup , those posts are gone , wld try all suggestions and will tell u result
