Hey guys,
I'm building my first studio room and it's the first time I'm building something for myself. This is a thread to discuss suggestions, recommendations and my learnings along the way. If there's any suggestion that you have based on your experience it's highly welcome.

Here are few things I've chosen for now:
- Facility to bring internet cable from outside
- Basically tube that runs from outside to inside so I can pull internet cable from it
- Wifi setup:
- I got a new Unifi Cloud Gateway max and also have a WiFi 6 router which will be converted to access point
- Work table:
- Currenly looking at getting the Ikea UTMANING. I want a sit-stand desk and this kinda looks good. Please let me know if you have any alternate suggestion.
- Want a large table because I use a dual monitor setup (27") with laptop as third monitor that cannot be mounted on an arm as it comes with a fixed stand
- Connections:
- I've asked for power access points in all corners since I might floor lamps.
- Have also asked for ability to run internet wires to the bedroom and workspace as I can move stuff around
- Rest-room:
- Suggestions I found on reddit: Wall mounted, square / rectangle shaped, vortex with dual flush with health faucet on the right side.
- Bed:
- Currently not looking at a cot, just a foldable bed that I can spread whenever I want.
- Lights:
- This is where I was confused. should I get a round light / square panel as they're doing false ceiling or should I stick to the time tested tube lights.
- AC:
- Split AC but nothing is decided yet.
- TV:
- I don't watch tv so no provision or buying anything for now.
- Board:
- Black / white board to write things down. Don't have any preference for now.
- Walls:
- Have chosen white paint for now. Do you have any experience with wallpapers? Are they good? and how long do they last?
