Mods this have been going on for more than a year but posting now...
I have been subscribed to many threads both new and old but after the forum software upgrade, the alerts I receive is only for new threads.
Even I get alerts for for new threads created by a user which I haven't even subscribed to.

Its a very confusing and weird behavior.

For eg: this thread

I'm subscribed to it since few years now and since forum upgrade haven't getting any alerts even though I have resubscribed.
There are so many other older threads.

I have to dig & cycle through my bookmarks to see the updates.

Can you guys look into this if this is user specific issue or how?

Not getting notifications after sometime is something that I have noticed as well. Will have to observe the pattern of occurrence very closely to be able to offer a resolution. Will also ask around on XF.

Thanks for noticing, prompt response and looking out for a resolution... This will benefit all of us.

As I suspected, its a forum feature that if you do not visit the thread after getting a notification then you stop getting further notifications. It's as if the thread got offended since you did not pay attention to it. :banghead:

No way to disable this behavior but there is a possible paid addon. Will explore that more.

Oh! But I repeatedly keep visiting most of those subscribed threads at least once a week or in 15 days for sure. And I have also tried to unsubscribe and re-subscribe to them.
Even for new threads, seems they become stale after few weeks and to see updates one needs to visit New posts section.
Hopefully some cheap add on might do the trick! ;)
