Such a bad experience

As many of you know, i had set up a deal on the MSI 8800GTS G92 512MB card recently in the dealers thread, and a TE member , psdutta2005 had ordered one for himself, and had set up a bangalore pickup. I had made it clear that all such cards require payment to be made first , to which he agreed to pay me an advance of 2831Rs advance, and the rest around 15th or so. i agreed and said he could pik up the card just after payment ,. Now 15th came and went , i called him , he said he would pay me in a day or two as he is waiting for his bro to send him the money . I waited paitiently . Christmas came and went. I called him again . No one picked up. Sometimes someone did, adn then cut it instantly. I tried from Other fones, as soon as they heard my voice, they cut my phone. Then one day he wasnt home, and someone else picked up , and i got a cell number for a friend of his with whom he was. i got to talk to him and he said he is gonna deposit the money dat day itself. Still nothing. I tried calling him again. His brother picked up, asked me to hold, and cut the phone. Then no1 picked up after that. Once his mother picked up, and told me that he is waiting for me to send the card, and i told her that i am waiting for him go send the rest of the 17k as i had already paid for the card to my distributor, and other customers were in the line , for which i needed the money . She said he wud call me bak after 5 minutes. I waited. nothing. Then again his mom picked up after one full day , and as soon as she heard me asking for him , she cut the phone, and then the phone was switched off.
Now guys, what do i do , i had first thought i wud sell the card, and if i got a price of less than 20400 , i wud cut that from his advance. But i dont understand why doesnt he have the courtesy to tell me he doesnt want the card. Coz i m really pissed off, and i might just not refund him anything , and sell the card for a price of 17k or so. I dont need his money , but i want to teach him a lesson in how to deal with others. So people gimme ur suggestions, and if someone can get him to talk to me , that wud be appreciated. I have tried emails , PMs , SMSs , calls everything.

Post all this in the same thread where you did the deal and give him a time frame to respond back... After that you are free to do whatsoever you feel like... i am sure he would be in some trouble otherwise nobody would want to let go of 3k hard earned cash...
 
dats wat....i dont mind doing that , he can have his 3k back , but at least he shud have the courtesy to tell me he doesnt want it,....why avid talking to me ??
 
I agree with Switch, give him sometime if he doesn't respond u can sell it off... And make that clear in the main thread from where you sold the card........

eventually ur G-card is gona a get SOLD.

but that guy not contacting u even after paying u 3k is really confusing.

rather , utilize that money for now and return it back if he does ask for it.
 
I have faced countless problems of kids who dont earn going behind the back of their parents while purchasing or making plans and failing to pay up. Even as of now I am awaiting payment of an item i sold, and delivered way back in august. I am pretty sure something like this must be the case here as well. Atleast he gave you advance :P

I ended up trusting a guy because he was very old member and friends with many people i know and still here without money.
 
Phoenix, give him a chance to respond... maybe he's busy or traveling and away from a computer. I'd recommend you set a deadline, maybe end of week, and communicate via the deal thread, email and PM. After that, the card is yours to sell for whatever price you deem appropriate.
 
Dude, for a dealer u are really patient. If I were you, I would have given max 2 chances for him to pay. After that would have sold the card.

As the others have suggested, post about this issue along with a deadline (I would say max 5days) on the sale thread. If he responds by that time, good enough or else sell the card and its up to you what you want to do with the 3k he has already sent.

I would reduce some money for all the calls made and some % for hassle of going through this and refund the rest (If he asks for it). I think thats a fair deal to do.
 
if i were u i would not sell the card to him unless he has a really very good reason

cause what he has done is clear intention of avoiding u by any reasons

i say even if he contacts in the dead line he shud pay the 20k whole for the card
 
dude sms him telling that u will still wait for few days .
u mention him clearly wht action u r going to take if he doesnt responds.
i think he might be ashamed of himself .
i m sure atleast after reading the SMS he would respond bcos no will make any payment unless n until he is sure.
he must be facing some problem which can be anything.
i can understand wht u r going through but he must be given this last chance
 
should be bankrupt...but no excuse to cut calls ....sms him tellin u r gonna sell and not gonna return the advance(advance is just meant for that)if u arent gettin a timeframe for payment from him
 
ok.sold the card to a friend for a loss at 19500 . Still , i needed the money urgently. As for him being busy , i had called him on saturday from a friends cell , no1 pikd up , but 2 hrs later this guy called bak on that number ,asking whether it was abt him selling his bike and all....too bad i wasnt there with my friend....wateverit is , now l be cutting a bit from his advance , as he has overshot his deadline ........
 
bankrupt or i may say family and peer pressure might have got to him
give him som more time may be 7 days , sms him regauarding the same update this thred pm him and relax.. after the 7 th day if he dose not respond u can sell the card.. u did humally all possibe things to contact him foum u r location .. now one simply cant go nocking at his palce for some card thats humaly not possible or as i say i wont do the same in that case
