Storage Solutions Suggest 2.5" External HDD..

Guys, Going to purchase on Sunday,

Here are the final deals on ebay with number of HD sold.

ALL HDD below are with 3 years warranty

Seagate FreeAgent GoFlex 500 GB - 2,990 - 46 Sold
Western Digital 500GB Elements - 2,699 - 105 sold
Transcend 500gb - 2,850 - 117 sold
Toshiba 2.5" 500GB HDD - 2,735 - 22 Sold

It seems Transcend is leading in weekly deal. I am more inclined towards WD due to home pick up & drop.

Have 24 hours more before making final decision. Please suggest with best after sales support & RMA.
 
Either get the Seagate Go or the Transcend, I have not seen enough Western Digital externals to vouch for them plus their pick and drop system is a bit like hit and miss.

Transcend 500 GB - 2,850 Rs - Waiting for big coupon & will take it. Its external HDD so huge possibility of dropping it by me or friends.

Fall protection of new Transcend is awesome & black look is way better then old Orange kind of color.

Will post once do the payment.

No because you pay 700 more and end up with a 500GB which is de-facto minimum these days.
 
No idea bruv :(, like the gun-metal finish on one but that was for 5K for 320GB HDD in Croma and I did not buy that.

after watching this thread, I'm going to buy this one tomorrow. (forgot my ehdd in metro today :( ) will update the local price tomorrow.

Please post the price you pay for it. Make sure to purchase pure black HDD, not with Orange stripes (its old model).

Ya, I went but they had the old one with orange stripes. the price for the orange one was 2250rs without bargaining. I will go to Nehru place tomorrow :(.

Also, Seagate goflex 500GB hdd was for 2700rs after bargaining and wd my passport essential 500gb was for 3250rs.

Why WD so high as compared to other two ?

might be. purchased the black one for 2350rs.

you can also buy through letsbuy. they are selling for 2800rs, and you can get 400rs coupon through khojguru or snapdeal.

Good point, but have u see casing of this new Hitachi ? Its looks really rugged. Any reviews for this HDD ?
