Video Suggest 42" LCD (Full HD Ready)

Hi Guys,

A friend of mine wants to buy an LCD TV (He wants a 42"-46" TV Only!!).

Main use is for viewing Cable TV, HD Movies and slight gaming (that is why the HD Ready part). Budget is not a constraint but please give sane suggestions :p.

i agree with ab1.

the sharp aquos range has for years been the standard by which other LCD brands are benchmarked.

that said the new bravia range is a very close 2nd.

with any screen purchase though follow these simple steps

take 3-4 of your fav dvds to the store.

play some scenes from each on BOTH shortlisted screens.....compare the brightness, smoothness of fast action scenes, black levels in dark scenes, etc

then decide

@TechHead: He is wary of the philips after sales service and is therefore hesitant to go for philips.
