Not sure whether quality gone down now... But I've 40" 4k model, bought from flipkart in 2016... Still going strong.

See this.. https://vustore.com/warranty

The below picture illustrates the panel images which are covered under warranty LEFT SIDE and which are not RIGHT SIDE

The images at right saying physical damages. Last image doesnt look like any physical damage and such colored/partial lines etc. are common display issues in any tv, then why havet they included it in left side (covered under warranty)

Thanks for this info. Not a single brand will honour physical damage.
Within past 4 months, with multiple service service requests I've received a refurbished type replacement from VU.
Now this unit has a dead pixel since the very first day and my request is still pending for approval from their main office.
I am done with this brand, surely I'll try something different like blaupunkt or thomason though we can expect similar manufacturing, performance and service.

I also have jvc 32 inch smart TV, its made by the same people making Blaupunkt and Thomson. Average quality , bad wifi and going trouble free for 2 years . If on a budget buy it .

Like someone already mentioned it's better to save some more and buy a Sony/Samsung/LG TV instead of these cheaper ones.
P.S. You should update your review.

VU had much better TVs earlier when it was a new brand. My 40" VU purchased in 2010 is still going strong after 11 years. Never faced any issue except the remote which had to be replaced. Its my main gaming screen for consoles, karaoke home entertainment as well as an Android box in my gaming room. iFFalcon is the 65" drawing room TV with built-in Android TV OS.
Off late over the last few years VU seems to be going downhill, two VU TVs for office purchased in last 4-5 years are no more, Alas! they are not able to maintain same quality they had a decade back. Its pretty much a hit-or-miss now with their new models. Be mentally prepared for getting issues in 2nd year after purchase.

Also the popular misconception is all vu tvs are hisense . Atleast mine was not . O had taken pictures of the board when he changed my pcb . Some Chinese rebrand surely.

Nice thread- I've been reading this one for sometime. Has anyone been using the Toshiba U50 series 4K TV-s (the one with Vidaa OS)? Also, has anyone here been using LG's Nanocell line of TV-s (Nano80 & up)? Would like feedback on those.

I have Hisense 50A71F model, 50'' - Purchased when they gave 3 years of warranty - Have been using for an year. Picture quality is good for its price, supports Dolby Vision and HDR. I use HT, so use TV audio will be used only for news - Nothing to complain though.
But when it comes to service, I guess it will be similar to other China brands. Just hope I don't find a reason to contact them anytime soon.
Note: My #1 preference was for VU, but due to its unavailability during my purchase time, went with Hisense. Well, I'm still happy. Amazon TVs were launched just then, so didn't want to be one of the beta testers. But now I guess they have good reviews.

Same here as mentioned earlier my #1 lookout was for VU tv specifically for xyz models but the strategy of these cheap players is once they launch an xyz model which I think they mfg only ltd nos. and once the quantity ceases the same model is never ever seen anywhere in the world. And when the end customer has issues with this model either during warranty or later on, they are been fooled with cheap or faulty displays etc.

So its all luck factor with any cheaper brands around, they either serve you good for X yrs or headache since day one.

As for my Hisense which I fell for as VU wasnt available, Hisense developed a minor software issue and I was quoted a brand new mobo worth 4.5k. Well if anyone googled, the firmware can be downloaded for any tv and its a plain kiddish diy for software issue but in my case the usb flashable firmware isnt yet out but flashing it via external feeder is. But the feeder costs 2k + exp. counts so its better to get a new board.

Again flipkart offered me complete refund amount for the tv so its a win win situation for me..got exp. of hisense plus I have the entire money.

Right now using my monitor as tv ftw so not yet in any mood to invest in a tv but in soundbar and may be an android box as me and wify is concentrating on our rig building which is only pending.

TVs are plain risky. I've heard horror stories for high end OLEDs and horror stories for budget models from new brands.
My strategy is to never buy the upper end and always get additional warranty.
