3. Sources/inputs such as HD DTH/consoles/stand-alone media players etc.

4. Preference for plasma TV/LCD TV/LED-LCD TV.

No to Toshiba, sansui, onida, videocon

6. Willing to purchase it from the grey market?
No

7. Ambient lighting conditions of the room.
The room is not well lit by sun

8. Any other feature you are looking for such as 3D support on the HDTV, DLNA capabilities etc.
Full Hd would be added bonus but the if so I have to look at Grey market options which currently not contemplating, also like to have usb playback support mostly avi and mkv files

Options previewed is Samsung 28F4100
Pros: good sound and pq when I compared it to the Sony 24ex430
Don't know how SD content might look on this TV
Pricing was 24000

Don`t know where you are located but should get this locally at lesser price, little more than your budget though.

It would do for your requirements but then again it wont do much more really. You know you are missing a few key features if you dont go grey at this budget.

It depends on you. The model is very competent and i do try to knock down the price further.
