My latest thread was Punto VS I20.. Comments to dat , and the Reviews of i20 Owners , hav made me think Again...
:'( PLZ help i am Very Confused... :S

If you can wait , VW Polo is an excellent car . Drove my friend's Polo yesterday and i was impressed . Handling is excellent . But there will be long waits . Figo and Beat are also options . What are your requirements ? What do you value the most ? Comfort ? Performance ? Safety ? etc . Mentioning that will get you better suggestions .

Petrol and diesel should be decided on your monthly running, 1000 Km+ then modern diesel engines like fiat MJD 1.3
Ford Figo 1.4 Diesel is a generation behind fiat MJD

My 1st and 2nd rating

Handling : FIAT Punto better by good margin
Ride : Fiat Punto
Stability (planted feeling) : Fiat Punto > polo
Safety : Punto ( Tank-like build quality), i20 5-star rating in euro ncap
Performance : Punto but 5L + => VW POLO (1.6 L Petrol), Punto 90 (diesel)
Space : Figo > Indica Vista = polo
Reliability : Swift/ritz > Figo
Cheap Spares : Swift/ritz > punto
Goodies : I20 > Punto Emotion Pack ( almost similar )
Looks : Punto all the way
fuel Efficiency : Swift > Beat
Plastics : Swift > Figo
ASS : Maruti = Hundai
Fun : Alto K10 > Punto
Resale : Swift VDI/VXI > I20
If I was in market for <5 L car

1. first priority is the safety of my family : I trust Fiat's legendary Tank build
2. Ride and Handling : again Fiat have scored here since Uno days. better than some of the sedans.
3. Performance : Punto 1.4 (P) or 90 (D)
4. Looks : Italian Stallion PUNTO
